Vickie is the Director of Community Outreach and the Executive Director for the Healthlink Primary Care Clinic (PCC) at Upper Chesapeake Health located in BelAir and Havre de Grace, Maryland. Vickie founded the HealthLink PCC in 2000, and for the last 10 years has been focused on providing healthcare services to the uninsured poor and homeless populations. She is also responsible for health and wellness centered program development, the provision of health and wellness screenings and education for the general community following Healthy People 2020 national objectives.
Over Vickie’s 30 plus nursing career, she has worked in the operating room, pediatric ICU, emergency department, pediatric special needs, and nursing administration. She has taught at the Community College, functioned as a research coordinator and a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
In addition to her passion for nursing and education, Vickie’s interest in rheumatology stems from the loss of her mother- in-law due to complications of rheumatoid arthritis.
